Dassault Mystere IVa Serial Number IA 1022 is one of the french warbirds on display at the NDA. Another Ouragan aircraft at display near the Cadet’s mess is said to be missing! Photo Courtesy : Rahul |
Besides the Gnat , captured Pakistani tanks share the grounds with some other retired warbirds like the MiG-21, Mystere and even an Indian Navy Sea Hawk.
Unfortunately the Sea Hawk and the MiG-21 do not have serial numbers on them. Almost all the photographs on this page have been contributed by Rahul, who mentions noticing an Ouragan earlier which is now missing. In 2011, on our facebook page, Atamvir Singh Multani confirmed the identity of these aircraft. The MiG-21 was actually a bis with the serial C2134, and the Sea Hawk was IN233
In 2006, when Google Earth upgraded the Khadakvasla area with high resolution imagery, it led to the discovery of yet another MiG-21 at NDA that we were not aware of. This aircraft was to the rear of the Sudan Block. We dont have any photographs of this aircraft and would appreciate any contributions.
