An anonymous MiG-23 has graced Baramati Airport for the past fifteen years.
Baramati airport, located halfway between Pune and Sholapur in Maharashtra is home to the Carver Aviation Ltd which provides flight training. In January 2008, when the infrastructure facilities in Baramati were still sparse, a MiG-23MF was installed outside the Carver Office.
The exact identity of the aircraft is currently unknown as all surviving photographs of it does not show any serials.
However, the aircraft is displayed with undercarriage bays exposed and it should reveal some kind of stencilling or data plates in the nose gear bay.
