JSS Science and Technology University, or in its full name Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Science and Technology University, formerly Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), is a private university located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. Established in 1963 as SJCE, It was affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, but now it’s a part of JSS Science and Technology University from 2016 – 2017 academic year. SJCE was founded and managed by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
The college has on its premises a Gnat airframe with the number “307” painted on it – making it likely its previous identity was “E307”. The aircraft does not have its undercarriage and is displayed on a metal framework stand. The wings shows signs of the tips missing, the fuselage air intakes have been faired over where the gun ports used to be and the tail fin appears chopped off as well.
The Gnat has been on the premises of SJCE for at least a decade and a half.
