Jharkhand

Jharkhand was formed as a separate state on November 15, 2000. Prior to that, it was part of the larger state of Bihar. The formation of Jharkhand as a separate state was the result of a long-standing demand by the local tribal and indigenous communities for autonomy and their desire to have a state that could focus on their specific needs and development. Jharkhand didnt exist when this site was first formed, so after 23 years, we finally created a place holder for the state.
